Design Options/Printing PackagesBecause each book we print is a custom design – typically with a unique theme, text and image layout – it just isn’t feasible to provide ahead of time a written set of detailed specifications applicable to all needs or circumstances. Simply put, we have to talk to you to learn a bit about what you’d like, what images you have and how best we can provide what you desire. For now, we’ll provide additional information that will give a fair sense of what we might do for you. We generally find that one of the following three packages meets the needs of most artists who contact us. However, if your requirements are unique, we’ll make every effort to find a way to provide a specialized approach that gives you what you’re looking for.

The typical, nominal, printed image dimensions one can select are (in inches): 2 x 3 ½, 2 ½ x 3 ½, 3 ½ x 5, 4 x 5 ½, 5 x 6 ½ and 5 x 7 ½. Exact print size will depend on the specific aspect ratio and pixel resolution provided, coupled with printing template allowances. Based on the images and text received, we’ll proceed with a design and layout that is sent back to the artist as a pdf file for final approval before printing. If the text and number of images fit on 20 pages, then this option as indicated earlier usually costs $750. This is primarily a design, setup and layout fee. It includes two free copies if the 6 x 8 softcover is ordered, three free copies if the 2 ½ x 3 ½ softcover is ordered, and two free copies if the 8 ½ x 11 hardcover is ordered. The cost of additional books varies with type and quantity. Generally here are the prices:
If, for example, you desire 50 of the 6 x 8 catalogues, the total cost is normally $750 (which includes two books) + $720 printing fee (48 x $15) = $1470.00. If more than 20 pages is required, the additional per page charge is on the order of $1 to $2 per page per book. Note: all books are subject to tax and a shipping/handling fee.
This package is for artists that have high quality digital images of various resolutions on their hard drives, but don’t wish to be bothered with editing or sizing decisions. You send us a CD with a selection of jpeg images, image captions and any text you wish included.....and we do the photo editing, sizing, layout and design. All of the other services, options and costs as described in #1 above apply or are included with this package.
This package is for artists who prefer to mail slides of their work and have us do everything for them: make high resolution digital scans of the slides, edit and size the photos, and create an aesthetically pleasing layout incorporating all desired elements. You provide of course any text you’d like included. This is essentially a turnkey solution for those that find this level of service appealing.
